In
1932, at age 16, J. C. Cannon started hauling livestock from
Breckinridge County in Kentucky to the stockyards in Louisville.
This was the beginning of what would be a lifetime of love and
dedication to trucking. It also proved to be the
foundation of what is now Ryan Trucking Company, Inc., a for
hire transportation company located in Caneyville, KY
42721. Through the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's, J. C. Cannon drove
every kind of truck available and hauled all manner of products
ranging from road construction, such as Interstate 75, to
hauling automobiles from California to New York. In 1962, now
married and with a son, J. C. went into business and formed J C
Cannon Trucking, a for hire bulk carrier with local area
operation. Upon his retirement in late 1980 J.C.'s son Barry
joined the company after four years in the banking business to
manage and operate the trucking company. On January 2, 1981, the
company began operations under Ryan Trucking Company, Inc.,
named after Barrys' oldest son.

The company is still a for hire
carrier, specializing in bulk commodities such as aggregates,
sand, grain, fertilize and construction waste. Service areas
include all of Kentucky and surrounding states. Our slogan is
"Service and Dependability on Wheels", backed up by

evident by our long standing relationship with our customers.
